New experiment: cross-mentoring for climate action
Open to change?
We’ve partnered up with youth engagement specialists We Rise and sustainability skills experts Change Agents UK to develop an intergenerational experiment in peer-learning and exchange.
We’re questioning the value of traditional top-down mentoring in a time of uncertainty and change. Cross-mentoring assumes both experienced and early career participants have equal amounts to offer – they might just need space and skills to help each other.
In this programme:
✅ Early-career participants will gain the confidence to speak up and influence
✅ More experienced voices will have space to listen, reflect and rethink how they make change.
Thrillingly it’s a first go at a hybrid format – where a face-to-face First Hand tour of a real life project works to support and animate online learning.
Our ask of you:
➡️If you are interested to participate in this one yourself, work with people, networks or communities who might be interested, or have any questions please be in touch and/or share far and wide.
➡️If you agree that we need new approaches – like this one – to engagement, learning and skills and are active in this space, be in touch.
